CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Our client, an award-winning home builder, currently seeks a Construction Manager.
As a leader with strong interpersonal skills, the Construction Manager will effectively oversee projects and teams from inception to completion within a defined budget.
You will have a proven track record of leading construction projects, and are able to exceed both corporate and homeowner expectations.
You will possess a Degree in Engineering combined with experiences and skills in the low rise residential construction industry.
You will have a solid working knowledge of scheduling systems, TARION, the Ontario Building Code, and Health & Safety regulations for the construction industry, and have the ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong project management and analytical skills.
You will be responsible for the efficient execution of all duties from the pre-construction phase to completion. Must be able to effective manage both material and personnel resources including, but not limited, to the following:
Planning - develop a master plan and procedures, and establish priorities, quality control and site budgets for execution of construction activities.
Scheduling - develop construction schedule and establish staffing and material requirements; monitor actual to planned schedule and direct appropriate staff, materials and trade contractors.
Relationship Management and Communication with staff and clients - resolve technical, scheduling, staffing or quality issues raised by the client, conduct area meetings with staff to ensure consistent flow of information.
Cost Management - Monitor invoices and payments to ensure adherence to the budget plan; make necessary adjustment as required; Develop and control site budget; verify budget criteria, labor material and subcontractors to ensure profitability. |

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
Our client is a residential home builder (low rise, single family dwellings) in Ontario – currently working in 6 markets. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to oversee land development projects.
The qualified candidate will have a background in civil engineer with minimum five (5) years related experience in the development industry and will possess the following:
QUALIFICATIONS · Degree in Engineering or CET (Professional Engineering designation an asset) · An understanding of process and legislation governing land development (Planning Act, official plans, and zoning) · Comprehension of financial management and budgeting techniques relating to land development · Excellent computer, analytical and time management skills
Must be familiar with Industry associations such as the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD - formerly the Greater Toronto Home Builders Association), Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA), Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) |
