FAMILY LAW LEGAL ASSISTANT
As a Family Law Legal Assistant you will be supporting 2 lawyers/partners of a large downtown firm.
DUTIES · To operate as a hands-on professional, assisting 2 senior partners with their agendas and work schedules. · As a function of support, you will provide assistance in areas of research, client development and support · You will produce results while working within strict timelines
REQUIREMENTS · Minimum of 3 years experience as a Family Law Legal Assistant · Exceptional MS Office skills, as well as legal software experience · A Legal Certificate from a recognized school is required · Must have a comprehensive knowledge of litigation practices. · Able to work under pressure and determine priorities · Exceptional organizational skills required, in order to meet specific time frames and deadlines · Must be goal-orientated, self motivated and a team player

LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR
Will report to the Legal Council of regulatory board within the construction industry.· This position will provide administrative support while contributing to corporate objectives.· Will compose letters and presentations of a complex and confidential nature · Prepares/composes/translates letters, prepares/maintains reports, reads mail and highlights action or important items, and attaches relevant files or information for legal council and legal department · Prepares agendas, meetings, appointments and memoranda for department, ensuring each detail to be meticulously executed · Prepares and maintains files, records, reports, budgets which may contain confidential information. · Provides information to department managers, and senior level executives in accordance with company’s policies and procedures and handles confidential messages and correspondences. · Handles travel and other arrangements for legal department Process and manages expenses related to same. · Orders and maintains inventory of department supplies · May organize special departmental activities or may act as a key resource in projects related to administrative issues. · Identify and report possible weaknesses, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
